I am sorry but I refuse to go near that Buzz jack website again. I had a headache for a good half hour last time I went trawling through all their GUFF for midweeks.

Is that a new Coldplay album? I had no idea they had new music out.

Yes, they kept Robbie off #1 the week it was released, but then he knocked them off in week 2.

Has there been a Rod Stewart TV special or something, or is that all Granny Christmas present shopping?

I was just going to say that one of my best friends is a HUGE Rod Stewart fan, and it is not just Granny’s who buy his stuff. Then I remembered her daughter is 5 months pregnant.

Kylie's Santa Baby seems to be underperforming this year - #83 on Spotify and not in the iTunes top 100.

I assume she's been left off some spotify Christmas playlist, or is anchored towards the bottom of it.

Didn't expect The Who to do anything much. Must be a Dad present this year.

Ditched for Ariana Grande's version?

I guess with sales through the floor all these heritage acts who make obvious gift albums will profit more and more.

It's not THAT many years ago that the top 5 were all selling 100k+ a week before Christmas, is it?

That's nowhere on iTunes and below Kylie on Spotify (#147), so I don't think it's that.

I mean to be honest I don't think it's that great a song ANYWAY (even by Eartha Kitt), but I liked Kylie getting a slice of the Christmas pie.

I know The Rolling Stones shifted a boatload of that blues album they knocked out in an hour and a half a few years back but I'm not sure how steep the sales decline has been. Certainly, the days of the iTunes voucher download spree creating mega post-Xmas charts in the late 00's/early 10's are long gone.

I'll need to pull out her Christmas album. I think I nabbed it for £3 in mid May and never finished a listen...

Last year my son got me a £25 iTunes voucher for my Christmas. He was very excited to give it to me, as apparently his Dad said I would love it and he took him out shopping for my present. Clearly no love lost THERE.

I have a feeling Wham might overtake Mariah this year. Are their streaming points reducted too?

They have been until now, at least.

I wonder if the film counts as active promotion?

From @Robbie at ukmix

Without ACR Mariah would (still) be at number 2, 1,415 sales behind Tones & I. The latter moved to ACR today so we'll have a new number 1 next week. Under the old chart rules Wham! would be at number 3 with The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl at number 5. Inside the top 10 would also be Band Aid, Shakin' Stevens and Elton John.

LadBaby at #1 on iTunes with the hilarious (I'm sure) 'I Love Sausage Rolls', currently outselling the #2 (some Chris Molyes thing, seemingly) by 4:1. And outselling Mariah 20:1.

Is I Love Sausage Rolls a play on I Love Rock n' Roll?

At this point I'd put my money on Stormzy and Ed Fucking Sheeran for Chrisrmas #1. Currently #4 on itunes, with a price reduction.

It's almost enough for me to long for a return to X Factor Christmas number ones.

I can't believe she isn't storming this.

GAYS, I THOUGHT THIS WAS FINALLY OUR YEAR

It doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, does it? :(

US gayz better come through

Maybe people don't like crisps as much as they used to.

Who even IS ladbaby and why is he releasing songs every year? Did he get number 1 last year? I can’t even remember.

Mariah is about 74k streams down on the corresponding Saturday last year.

Why is Last Christmas ahead on that chart? Is it that physical? Did that come out this week?

Presumably, as it's behind Mariah (although not by that much) on both iTunes and Spotify. Although I guess they aren't the only sales and streaming sites.
