True :D It should have been set in this time period from the start, really.
 
There was a TNG episode about warp ships slowly destroying subspace, wasn't there? Which was promptly ignored later of course, but maybe they're revisiting something like that with the backstory here :eyes:
 
I'm enjoying this, but I wouldn't mind of she found her spaceship and her crew soon and got back on the bridge. Feels a bit like at the moment they're trying too many 'new things'.

(I'm saying this as someone who's watched about five ST episodes across the entire franchise admittedly)
