Melodifestivalen 2022: Deltävling 3 - Avicii Arena (again)

I think Faith came second because she had the sunset backdrop after several entries prior had NO STAGING AT ALL. It was immediately noticeable

The song is an unflushable turd and the vocals were hardly saving it.

What a waste of a final slot. Just anesthetise me now, Faith. AGAIN
The clinic she works at is actually Dignitas.

The general atmosphere of WE'RE HAVING NERVOUS BREAKDOWNS LIVE ON TV AND WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING OR WHY would, I feel, generate GOODWILL :disco:

Honestly I could watch that performance over and over again and obviously have on more than several occasions :disco:

Was the HAT supposed to convey JAUNTY FUN?

Spinning Linda on Spotify

She appears to sing ‘I don’t give a shit’ in the second verse.

Looking back on the performance, can’t help but think the full on demented performance (including embracing somebody whom we think was JessAn) may not have gone down that well - it was a million miles from ‘Still Young’ as a yard stick of how a schlager diva can qualify in this day and age. Not sure anything would have made a difference - the 4th to 5th gap was huge. I really hope she doesn’t care that much.

I’m sorry but just telling from the snippet ”Lyckligt slut” has one of the most potent lyrics+voice+music combinations seen in modern Melfest. It’s almost on par with “Snälla, Snälla” and ”Svag”.

Swedish speaking young males and females of all ages will go for this.
:disco: :disco: :disco: :disco: :disco:

I am still awaiting Melodifestivalen lyrics (or lyrics in any song) that surpass the poignancy of ‘Ashes to Ashes’

I am the luck of the draw… :disco:

Oh my poor Linda :(

Watching it back, it’s lovely to see how much fun she’s having, but she really did get in her own way with that shambolic second verse/chorus.

Suomi predicted (beforehand) that she’d qualify on basic professionalism, but sadly on the night that’s precisely what she lacked.

As much as sending Cornelia would be incredible (depending on what next week brings that is) and finally something different from Sweden, I feel like putting all faith in her at this point might be another GAY DREAM DISASTER waiting to happen.

I mean there's no telling if Anders or Liamoo are more popular and I could easily see a few of the other runner ups throwing a spanner or two. Let's not forget the performance needed SOME WORK too.

I mean I hope so but expectations have been zipped up safely in my PURSE for now

I Can’t Get Enough is such a bop. I hope Cazzi gets a big hit out of it.

And seeing that table reminds me that each week I think why the hell do 10-15s get a category to themselves, when most other categories are way bigger - are they really trying to market it as a kids show?

Surely it’s done based on the demographics of the viewing figures?

Presumably it’s the biggest voting category based on raw votes.

Also a 14 year-old will have very different taste from a 6 year-old and also from a 27 year-old, whereas taste doesn’t shift quite as much once you’re an adult so they can lump bigger groups in together.

Oh DEAR at her getting needy and giving the audience a quick cuddle during the second verse. Also I imagine that older viewers were quite sickened by her vulgar cuss words :(

3-9s presumably haven't picked up much English yet, so maybe the Swedish songs benefit there?

Surely Shut Me Up was always going to do well with the 16-29 demographic though? At least a lot better than some woman with a forgettable, MOR song.

So forgettable even the 3-9s and 10-15s liked it?

If anything I would've thought it would be the 30-44s that would go for Tribe Friday over the 16-29s - they were the ones that were in their teen years when that sound was big!

I presumed she was nailed on for DTF before the final vote so wondered why she looked a bit non-plussed when her name was announced (not being able to understand exactly what was happening).

It's not necessarily a surprise that that would be their biggest demographic, but to be the complete reverse of the others, purely for those two songs, would be pretty unusual.

Has the complete mix-up of the way the votes were announced been explained?
