Celebrity Big Brother 2024 ITV2 era

This is vintage already for me. So much potential. The presenter before Lauren needs to replace Will, I was loving her chatting away with AJ.
 
Oh Fern. I look forward to the inevitable Phillip Q&A portion, otherwise meh. I did used to love her cooking show after school back in the day though.
 
2.7 million average viewers with a peak of just over 3 million. 22% share and CBB’s highest rating since season 17 (Tiffany Pollard/ The GC season).
 
Still pretty LOW to these eyes. Was expecting more but that is down to ITV spunking all the budget on Sharon who won’t even be on the show for the duration.
 
Well we'll see how it goes. There's some pretty chaotic housemates there, I'm not too worried about the lack of big names (that's only really exciting at the start).

Saying this they always generally have a big budget name on IACGMOOH who but still have mostly well known names as well. I’m assuming this doesn’t have the budget?

Yes, I think it's disappointing. I don't think the 'highest CBB audience since xx' headlines I've seen on twitter today are particularly useful when it's had a long break and was on a minority channel previously.

The length of time since it was last broadcast, change of channel and decline of viewing generally make comparison with previous series of it awkward. But the fact that its audience share is barely 1% above Dancing On Ice says a lot.

One million percent agree on all counts. It doesn’t really give me much confidence moving forward with the format but we will wait and see.
 
Sharon apparently getting 100k a day for her appearance on the show. She has her own room and bathroom and will leave on Friday.
 
I'll tune into this from tonight but I had to turn off the launch show after 15 minutes, it was too toe-curling. AJ and Will just weren't great at keeping the energy up and the awkward pauses and accidental reveals of all the things production don't want us to know were too much. Big advocate of having that one pre-recorded from now on! What would we really be missing other than footage of them walking up the stairs from the car and taking too long to walk into the house?
 
I’ve caught up and found it HILARIOUS how they obviously put Louis & Sharon in first to maintain viewers :D

I’m not especially inspired but I’ll give it a go until I get bored…
 
Watching this a night behind... fuck me... Sharon is COMPLETELY GONE isn't she :D And Louis is not far behind her... (actually he might have overtaken her when he didn't realise he wasn't supposed to tell them where he was in the secret room).
 
God.. this Bradley Riches is kinda cute tbh. He's only just more than half my age. Makes me feel terrible. :D
 
I love that there are 5 housemates over 55 years old! It's great to see!

Sharon puts on this baby voice and it really fucking annoys me. Stop it.
