I will say that them GETTING ON WITH IT from the start and largely not buggering about with extended intervals - just the two, one of which featured THE POPE (!!) - did make this year's affair much more rewatchable and repleasing than the usual annual coma.

I think this is fairly standard for the night where they introduce all of the competing songs, it's just they've had the sense to put that at the beginning of the run this year.

Tonight and tomorrow will only feature half the songs each so there'll be plenty of Italian FAFF to be enjoyed. :disco:
 
Yes it’s the inexplicable decision to half the songs but maintain the same runtime that leads to wickedness.

Oh excellent, it's a whole hour before the competing songs start, normal disservice has well and truly been resumed.
