Time to start a thread to track, analyze, and discuss the latest chart performances in Sweden.

The new rules for Melodifestivalen 2025 where songs are released for a full day of streaming on Friday, mess up comparisons. Nevertheless, Hush Hush was already on top by Sunday, the first full day of streaming after Heat 1.

For the purposes of comparisons, can we just treat Sunday as Day 1, which for all intents and purposes it is anyway.
 
If Loreen was in this this year, you would never be able to just ignore the Friday and Saturday for her. So you shouldn't ignore it for anyone

It’s more because the first post is full of comparisons with previous years.

The Friday and Saturday streams clearly weren’t relevant enough to mention either.
 
An alternative would be to always call Saturdays Day Zero, which actually makes sense in a way. That was the day Mother was reborn after all. :disco:

The Mello effect is strong even for recent non-competing artists.
 
On and On and On is the first competing entry from the 2025 crop to chart outside Sweden, debuting at #169 in Finland on Sunday. Last week, San Francisco Boy peaked at #6 there.

Interesting that in both weeks, the runner up appears more popular than the victor that week. Although I guess that makes sense as a likely outcome now it's pure demographic college for the results.
