I thought it might be good to start a thread going, rather than turn Rula’s lovely links thread into a spoiler minefield.

With the greatest of respect, it bothers me that we're keeping RPDR when the title is Drag Race Holland :greta:

It pissed me off for the whole of Canada's as well

I liked it! The right queen went, she was the worst by far.

The host is actually Robin Stjernberg, right? And I wonder what happened with the alien queen, she disappeared just before the lipsync and never came back.

Just made it through the entrances. The first 5 were quite the run of trade. The next 5 sure restored the familiar balance though.

Old lady Thorgy before Thorgy an instant favourite.

I think I'm going to have to watch it again to pay closer attention to what they're saying.

Oh my at the one who looks like the former human Ken doll person that had their ribs removed and practically had them barbequed and fed to Philip and Holly on This Morning.

Our host looks like Kloe Kardashian dressing up as Courtney Act.

Megan looks a bit like Big Brother's Lisa Appleton on the stage.

Janey aka Niall One Direction wasn't my winner. It just looked like a costume that was a bit heavy looking on her.

This felt (understandably) a little PROVINCIAL. They literally all seemed to already know each other :D

I did enjoy the return of the water tank challenge, and the old hag who appears to be claiming to be 26 despite transparently being a cool 45 is my instant favourite. It felt like it was missing a proper main challenge though. Write a sentence?!

I predictably squealed with delight at the offhand Linda Wagenmakers reference.

See these are my thoughts exactly. Did they actually know each other? The challenge was to write a sentence? But then on the main stage it became to come up with a look inspired by your favourite queen?

It's nice to have a new episode of Drag Race to watch on Saturday morning I guess? But for me, it was lacking the charm and local flavour of UK and Canada.

The alien queen is my fave (in AND out of drag :horny:). I wanted them to delete-all the bottom 3 tbh, the white queen playing Diana Ross felt QUITE OFF too.

And SURELY the last one to walk in is the winner :D Envy Peru? The cast all looked liked they'd collectively GIVEN UP as soon as she walked through the door :D Very Aquaria's entrance vibes.

I guess the way that the format is pretty cut-and-paste doesn't help things, just feels like more of the same. They don't seem to be arseholes to each other either, but maybe next week there will be more to talk about.

That said, it's always hard to go from the strong finish of one series to the first episode of another, inevitably there are too many queens to keep track of and not enough time for anyone to make a big impact, so let's just see how it goes.

Nobody really gagged me, but I liked the Alien Queen, the Queen Bee was great and a deserving winner, and Marie Antoinette (but where was the powdered mug?).

Feel like the deaf reveal was supposed to be more of a moment, but the irony of the other queens not hearing her, and her being able to do a passable lip sync to a dance song feels like it's not really holding her back that much?

The host seems decent enough, the guest judges a bit higgledy piggledy - it felt like the drowned dinnerlady one with the glasses got more time commenting on the fashion than the others (the fashion designer and the fashion brand owner), choices

I don't know if the host is holding back, feeling a bit swallowed up by the established template of soundbite cliches or else is just a bit bland, but yeah they're ok :D

I didn't like the mousey one so much. Yeah, I'll take a note from you on not understanding the brief..

In the grand scale of drag race I'd give it a solid 7, which is high within the grade B realm.

I'm not following it sorry, so no.

I'm sure I'll watch at some point, but not yet.

Who speaks Dutch here to tell us if something was lost in the translation?

I don’t speak Dutch but the similarities to German were enough to show a fair bit was missed out- it was quite a basic English translation.

Still, loved the episode- and they seem like a nice bunch of girls. This will happily keep me going for a while.

Jean Paul Gaultier lookalike brought me back to my sex debut back in the 90’s. I think she is my favourite for now.

Scaredy Cat was awful and her lip sync was a disaster. Bye!

Trade wise; I can’t believe the things I’d want to do to that cute bearded cub.
