Drag Race Holland S01E03

That was one of the best looks ever! Surprising that she didn’t win considering that she did well in the challenge too.

I hate that they all hate my favourite little cub. He’s the sexiest thing on drag race. :emoji_pig_nose::emoji_pig_nose::emoji_pig_nose:
 
I thought Madame Madness was poorly executed and would also like her to leave, but I was surprised at the level of dislike for her.
 
Incidentally, I'm wondering if I may be better watching the show without subtitles, entirely clueless about what is actually being said. The translations seem shoddy, and I'm sure sometimes I'm missing elements of the looks and action because I'm too busy reading.
 
A quick paced show like Drag Race is so hard to follow while reading the subtitles. And I keep reacting to the words being similar to English or Swedish rather than trying to follow what they’re saying.
 
As I said in last week’s thread, I can tell a fair bit from the German and the translations are fairly ok to be honest, but it’s someone who has no idea about the genre- “May the best lady win” was the worst offender this week!

They clearly all hate the Madame behind her back but I’m not entirely sure why. He hasn’t been that annoying from what I’ve seen and whilst, yes, I think she’s definitely the worst left, she seems quite nice and they all seem to like her to her face. (I tell you what’s odd- I kept having to go back to say “she” rather than “he” after writing that. Maybe it’s the beard...)

I also thought Megan was pretty terrible and was worse in the challenge so I’m ok with the result. Abby has been slightly hard done by in that she looked good the last two weeks, but both times have been simplistic as fuck, so I can see why she’s landed where she is.

Still thoroughly enjoying myself watching this though. Great addition- and love the host too.

With the exception of Madame Madness, though, they are all very tight on merit, so far.
 
I thought Madame was clearly one of the better actresses in the challenge, so I guess that saved her.

Decent enough episode. The right girls won and went home IMO.

And YAY - I got my Dutch lip sync song wish! :D
 
It's watchable, but so far I'd say it's a fair step down from Canada and UK as far as spin-offs go.

It has kind of a low-rent season 1 feel.
 
I think a lot will depend on what you're looking for. In terms of runway, it's stronger than UK. But it's the season I've enjoyed least since I started watching, and I don't think it's ONLY the language barrier, as much as it doesn't make it any easier.
 
I’m really enjoying it, but yes, it’s low rent for sure.

Can’t believe I didn’t mention the lip sync, though- it was top drawer.

Sederginne hasn't disappointed yet. She was my favourite in the challenge, not that they dwell on anyone during those.
