Per the press release, the official synopsis is as follows: “‘Echo’ revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.”

Joining the cast are Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, and Zahn McClarnon. Directorial duties will be shared by Sydney Freeland (Navajo) and Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai). Production is underway

I wonder how long until all these shows run out of steam?

I didn't find this character particularly compelling in Hawkeye, and while it's admirable that they're building a series around a deaf character/actress I remember thinking it was quite clunky that most of her scenes had her henchman guy there to bounce off of/confirm what she was saying through thinly-veiled expository dialogue.

Yeah basically this - great in concept and I’m happy about that, but I really hope they do something more than “I’m angry, here’s my frowny face” acting for 90% of the screentime

Well, this was unceremoniously DUMPED on Disney+ last week and as expected, nobody batted an eye. That's unfortunate cause she seems like a lovely person.
