Not on moopy, but on news/content led websites. Does anyone click yes to get them?

I find them really fucking annoying but someones suggesting we should install them on one of our sites, so I'm doing some very lazy research into whether they are worthwhile.

Thanks for your continued support of Big Ron Global Megacorp.

Only on Moopy and very specific Twitter accounts for something time sensitive (for example, I have @Eurovision sending me push notifications whilst we wait for the city announcement). I wouldn't dream of anything else, I get enough notifications as is.

If I could be bothered turning off every push notification ever I probably WOULD.

Yeah this is pretty much where I am, I don't even have them for most of my apps on my phone. I'll be fucked if I want KET DAILY pinging me every time there's a breaking story.

I have them for social media and news alerts. It’s very useful for keeping up to date on Covid, actual important world news and celebrity deaths right away. Not so much when I get alerts telling me footballers are leaving their clubs etc. I wish I could customise the type of news I’m interested in.

For most other apps I make a point of turning them off.

Only on a handful of key Twitter accounts, never for a website.

For a couple of games on my phone where its useful for the gameplay, yes. Everything else, fuck off.

I have them for the BBC news, my emails and ideally very little else.
