S13 E01: The Pork Chop

Well they are both giving good talking head, so I hope neither goes. The hauser of Doll to stay for the cassette playing and stopping alone though. However, I'm sure they're both staying.
 
Oh I just saw someone saying it's because they want to drive people who care that much to subscribing to Wow+ which makes sense I suppose :evil:
 
Soooo this was interesting, I thought some of the lip syncs were very much set in stone but it’s an interesting crop of queens.

The lighting in the confessionals is criminal. They all look diseased.

I think Ulitka or whatever her name is my favorite. I loved her story about conquering her strawberry allergy but she’s primed to go be first out. Tina Burner is another immediate favorite.

They should have done a double episode because this was not satisfying.
 
That episode was...a problem :D. I think I liked it by the end though.

The lip synchs were ALL really good. I love Symone and Kahmora Hall
 
The Aja sister to go first, please!

I thought this was almost unwatchable at first, but then some more interesting queens turned up. Symone was my instant favourite. Utica seems lovely.
 
Utica was giving me major Thorgy Thor vibes.

I don't like the idea of a queen arbitrarily being voted out before participating in a single challenge at all. Hope there's a(nother) twist.
 
The episode was pretty tedious and repetitive and yes unsatisfactory. I'd rather it was normal and no one went home. That said I enjoyed most of the lip syncs and they look like a fun bunch.
 
Utica’s style might look like an elevated version of Thorgy’s, but her physique and facial features (despite of the race difference) reminded me of Naomi.
 
I loved the twist for the first 10 minutes... then I got pretty bored of it by the end. I can't remember who was who yet so I'll reserve judgement on individual queens, but they seemed... about average, for a new season cast.
 
Bit of a chore to watch :( Also a bit shit to torture half the cast after they sat in a hotel room isolating for 2 weeks.
 
What seemed like a refreshing change for the first 15 minutes really became a slog pretty quickly.

Good group though! Loving Joey's personality in confessionals and Symone is standing out too.

Rosé as a villain should be good value.
 
I liked the episode but yes, that is shit if they send someone home so early without doing anything. Still, LIVING for “Well, I’m the only black queen here, so you ain’t voting me out” :D

CLEVER from the producers really thought- after Silky’s disastrous lip sync when you thought she’d be quite good, this gives them the chance to see everyone from the start. Doesn’t appear to be a truly dreadful syncer amongst them to be fair.

I don’t like the twist either, but it gave all queens equal airtime. It’s been easier to remember them now.

(Actually, I don’t think I could remember all 13)
 
It just didn’t feel like a start, more like a meet the queens special
