Hi girls. I'm back from a beautiful but stressful holiday.

Debating whether to fuck work off tomorrow and extend the time off by another day.
 
It's always tempting innit? "One more day, that's all I need...."
 
I regretted rota-ing myself to work all weekend after our holiday. I hated every second. But actually once it was done I was pleased I'd gone straight back in.

Having said that, when we return from our 6 weeks away in January, I'm putting Mandy to work all weekend so I can have time at home.
 
@Kratz you were in my dream last night. Which is weird because I've never even met you.

There was no sexuals but definitely some tension. You quickly morphed into somebody else before it became interesting. Useless.
 
Whilst this is the most ridiculous, middle class problem EVER, I've found a lovely set of FESTIVE PLATES in our local TK Maxx which I want to use for hosting Christmas. I went in on Saturday and there were six plates, six bowls, six side plates, all matching, all lovely. Went back today as I couldn't stop thinking about them and someone has bought ONE OF EACH. WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT?

I've spent all morning going round three other TK Maxx's to find them and they don't have any, though millions of similar ones from the same brand.

If they were for sale individually rather than as a set, I wouldn't think twice about taking one or two.

My browsing stamina in a clothes shop is about ten minutes. It's like a supermarket sweep challenge. Pick up everything I like, don't stop walking and then by the time I get to the till make a decision which ones I'm buying. Don't look at anything I didn't come in for. If they don't have my size then I wasn't meant to own it, it's my own fault for being fat / too tall / not a 12 year old, etc.
 
I can't bear TK Maxx for clothes shopping.

I want everything displayed in front of me, and then I just select my size from a pile or rail.

I don't want to RUMMAGE for clothes. Fuck off.
 
TK Maxx is basically a JUMBLE SALE without the prospect of a decent cuppa in a church hall.
 
If I have a month to think about it, I'll talk myself out of it.

Problem is that I see that as justification to buy it now, rather than a reason to wait.
 
We need a TK MAXX thread. I fucking LOVE IT.

I think the "jumble sale" tag is actually a bit outdated- it used to be that way, but it's a LOT better nowadays. And since they expanded beyond clothes, it's been a BOON. I really enjoy the home/kitchenware stuff and I get a lot of my second tier beauty products there (as in shampoo/ shaving/ hair stuff etc. Though the top tier of skincare, after shave etc. I don't).

WE NEED A TK MAXX THREAD!
 
I do think it's quite a middle aged thing too, though. It's an easy win for me- I'm not fashionable or daring enough to be hunting out PROPER designer stuff, but I'm quite happy buying the entire range of Folk clothes at vastly reduced pricing.
 
Also, what's good in TRENDY KNICKERS these days? I need to invest in some new ones, but I really don't know where to start.

Skims by Kim Kardashian is my new fave. They are super comfortable if a bit basic in colors (which I am fine with). I also love Michael Kors brand.
