I had a conversation with one of my 17 year old nieces earlier today. She's not very politically aware, and doesn't come from a home that is. She has a trans friend at college, but had no idea of the ruling (or the case) until he told her about it this week.
I actually became quite tearful talking to her, because she was completely incredulous about it. Basically cannot understand why the decision was made, what she is supposedly being protected from, or what she is supposed to be fearful of.
As much as I fear that things are going to get worse in the short term, it did make me think that in the mid to long term, the TERFS have no chance of winning.
I suggested that she attends the Pride march and festival in July.
