It's no Scared of the Dark, but it has grown on me a lot since it first came out. I can't wait to hear the difference between this and the album mix

I do like the way she keeps repeating In The Clouds, but this has mostly passed me by

My first time listening to this! Something cheap 90s about the chorus (and I mean that as a compliment!)

Yes it’s not as much of a MOMENT as Scared of the Dark was but it’s exactly what I wanted them to come back with - taking the sadbanger formula of Tears on the Dancefloor up a gear. I love the urgency of this.

I mean, it’s just gay fan fiction isn’t it.

07 Clouds
One of the better midtempos. It’s fairly nondescript but nice to hear them go modern without venturing too far out of their comfort zone. Would fit right into a Danish Eurovision national final.

10 To The Beat Of My Heart
The frantic energy is to die for on this. I can’t believe Xenomania and Steps have never worked together before, it’s such an obvious coupling! One of the standout tracks although I kind of feel it should have been saved for later. Will be an absolute car crash if they ever attempt to do this one live.

I just don’t really see what the point of this is... they did this way better just two tracks ago and all it’s doing is sapping the energy they’d built up.

I LOVE this melancholy chorus. The rest may take time to grow.

To The Beat of My Heart should be the next single I have now decided.

I like Father's Eyes much more than Clouds. The chorus is lovely.

Did someone say One Touch is fine dining? Its certainly been described as fine.

05 One Touch
Loses points INSTANTLY for those awful synthesised strings in the introduction. Gets them back with Lisa’s opening lines. Loses them again by following her immediately with Lee vocals. I feel this one is meant to be a lot more dramatic than it is. It’s definitely making all the right noises (the schlager bells are appreciated) but overall just kind of leaves me cold. The key change tease at the end only to go back down again kind of sums it up really.

A bit generic upbeat Steps (but that isn't necessarily a bad thing). One that mostly will be listened to only in the context of the album I imagine

I was rather hoping that ‘One Touch’ would be a cover of this, especially now I’ve heard it
