Is she really as unlikable as these press snippets make her appear?

She's got a great voice for sure, but I've never enjoyed her in anything since I first saw her in the dreadful "I Can't Sing!" flop X Factor spoof musical at the Palladium.

Simon Lipkin grabbed me by the face with his puppet dog during that show, so maybe I'm tarring her with RAGE I felt during that evening :D

Ariana is definitely gaining awards momentum at the moment and putting her in Supporting Actress will benefit her as it's less crowded. She could end up doing a Zeta Jones or Jennifer Hudson if she's very lucky.

Best Actress is looking quite stacked, so the reviews and buzz will have to be stellar for Cynth to be joining her.

I first saw him in Rock of Ages and have seen him in 3 or 4 other things since. He’s about to play Fagin in the new transfer of Oliver! :D

I can't stand Oliver!, so I was going to be keeping well clear of that anyway. Thanks for the added warning though :D

Ariana's best bet is to do a Madonna as she's surely a shoe-in for the Globes. But I think she could go one better and get an Oscar nom even if she likely won't win. I agree the supporting category is better for her.

Is there a precedent for going for Oscar supporting and Globes lead for the same role....??

For performance and crafts, whatever is on screen in Part 1 will be enough.

For anything above the line other than acting, I imagine they'll wait for Part 2.

It's got the same cinematographer as Tick Tick Boom and In The Heights. I didn't really like the visuals in either, so that tracks!

Why do I feel like this film is going to be amazing and the critics will love it and it will win lots of awards and be hugely successful, but be completely overshadowed because the fanz will inevitably question the way Cynthia sings certain lines and she's going to have an absolute meltdown about it...
