I can't really get with the idea of MEAT-FREE MEAT

News: old man fails to understand lifestyle choices of younger generations

I've not tried Iceland meat free burgers but then I've never been near an Iceland.

I do quite like a CAULDRON SAUSAGE but most 'pretend' meat is actually pretty wank. Its not that hard to cook nice things without it.

I think the idea is to have meat but without the irritation of having something die in order to provide it. It's a bit like Protestantism which is Catholicism but minus the guilt and the sexual violence.

I finally had a Gregg's vegan sausage roll yesterday. I can't remember what their meat ones taste like, but the vegan one was quite nice.

I generally agree entirely, but texture wise, there's something about having something that isn't just VEGETABLES inside me (OOH ER) every now and then.

Yeah I've been a bit slack with the meat dodging recently but I know what you mean. I do find tofu and nuts can make up for it but theres nothing like a hot meat injection.

See, I've never got on with TOFU.

I quite often find a good mushroom is enough for me to forego meat

If you hard fry it before adding it to stuff, it gets a nice texture on the outside and doesn't go all sloppy.

Hot tofu chat.
