Avril Lavigne - Let Go (20th anniversary edition)

My big memory of her at this time was that photo of her without make-up becoming an early internet meme and people being very cruel about it. She didn't even look BAD!

She's credited as a writer on every song on this album.

I think she has some LIMITATIONS as a lyricist, which leads me to think that it isn't a 'vanity credit' situation :D

this song does feel like it's running on about 50%. I'm not sure if it didn't remind me of Hanson actually :D

I forgot this one but its so good. From the gangsta rap verses to the 2000s chorus, I love it all

for some reason vocally on Naked she sounds a lot like Lindsay Lohan in places :D in fact as a song it's very Confessions of a Broken Heart / A Little More Personal. I would say this is my favourite album track besides Mobile. 100% my DOWNCAST EMO VIBE.

Well I loved that! There was a risk of things getting a BIT too easy breezy relistenable etc in the middle, but on the whole a rather strong album particularly for a debut. Amazed I hadn't got around to listening, but to be fair I've only had twenty years.
