So sad, he was definitely a early 2000’s pop crush and had a few decent songs (Live Twice being my favorite 🥺) .. maybe a bit inappropriate considering the circumstances but the image of him knelt down wearing a kilt (serenading a 6 year old girl) with his cock on full display is permanently etched in my mind. 🤭

Never heard of this, but it sounds like a tragic, rather bizarre accident rather than suicide.

The former Pop Idol contestant Darius Campbell Danesh died as a result of inhalation of chloroethane, a medical examiner has ruled.

The singer and actor was found dead in his apartment in Rochester, Minnesota, on 11 August.

An autopsy carried out by the Southern Minnesota regional medical examiner’s office found “toxic effects of chloroethane” as well as “suffocation” as contributing factors.

His death was also ruled an accident by the examiner.

Chloroethane, also known as ethyl chloride, is used as a topical anaesthetic for injections and minor surgeries, as well as in other pharmaceuticals, petrol additives, plastics and dyes.

It has also been used as a recreational drug with brief inhalations causing confusion, dizziness, and incoordination.

Not sure why specifically there, but he had a lot of American connections. He was friends with America Ferreira, Rebel Wilson, and Gerard Butler (who I believe must live over there now) and apparently co produced a movie in America back in 2016 with Daniel Radcliffe.

I remember a story a few years ago about a guy who died using poppers, it was some sort of aerosol spray that he sprayed onto a rag or something. I wonder if it was the same stuff as this 😔
 
I'm impressed it took three weeks and until post #54 for the first mention of that kilt picture. Very respectful

Yes that's probably Maximum Impact. It seems to be more of an American thing - I don't think it's particularly common here.
 
I think it's similar to poppers but a lot stronger. And obviously with more dangerous side effects.

Campbell Danesh’s family said he had been suffering from chronic pain at the time of his death, following a car accident in 2010 in Spain that left him with a broken neck.

“The results of medical examinations have confirmed that Darius’s death was an accident caused by chloroethane, which is used to treat pain and that tragically lead to respiratory arrest,” a statement read.

Apparently the apartment he was renting was in a block often used by people being treated at the nearby Mayo Clinic hospital. So lhe may have been there for treatment for his pain issues.

At least if it had been an extreme poppers / asphyxi-wank-death he'd have gone out having a nice time.
 
Well, googling "Maximum Impact poppers" has led me to an interesting reddit conversation that asks "Poppers vs Max Impact? Any of you pigs have any advice?" started by the user RedditSwirl, and needless to say I'd be too scared to try it. Has anyone here done it?
