Eurovision 2023 Chart Watch

Omg so the juries were actually nicer to Käärijä than even the charts were? Maybe the takeaway is just that everyone got a bit too overexcited in the moment and that's fine but it's good more measured, level headed and responsible people like me and @⁨Suomi are around to do jury duty and keep things in perspective on who should actually win each year

“Sun” by Slusnik Luna (#40 in 2001) was in Finnish apparently.

EDIT: Although I’m not convinced it has lyrics.

I can’t believe that the juries didn’t give ANY points to Miracle or Eyes Closed. There goes the suggestion that we would win if we sent more established acts.

Well number 2 was way better than I ever imagined she’d get to a week ago !

94?

:LaZarra:

UK's televote 10-pointer Monika Linkyte still sitting by the phone waiting for the chart show call.
Which all suggests that the 8 points for Ms Blanka was not entirely down to the diaspora!

From Official charts

Prior to this week, the last time multiple Eurovision entries graced the UK Official Singles Chart Top 10 simultaneously was back in 1982, with two tracks managing it. In 1982, German entry Nicole topped the chart with A Little Peace, while the UK’s Bardo concurrently peaked at Number 2 with their song One Step Further
