I don't know why they've chosen a thumbnail without a STANDARD NORMAL collar. It looks like the pyjamas in picture 2!
I'm far too shy to be showing that much skin, hehe.
They are spirits of dead relatives!MOTHS
Managing people at work. It’s insane. I know everyone has their personal and health issues. A good manager will work flexibly with people and come up with the best solution for the person and the company… but that is NOT the manager’s sole responsibility. We have a sizeable group of adults in their 40s and beyond who just think it’s OK to resist doing the job they’re paid to do.
If you have a problem that is preventing you from coming to work or doing your work effectively, why are there SO many people who just think it’s OK to just stop doing it, try to go under the radar and then create a big pile of crap for their manager to deal with?
I don’t even mind if they actually call in sick, but we have people who log on just to appear online and wait for someone to notice that they’re not actually working, then claim they were too ill to work… but you were fine to log in and do WHAT? It’s like the behaviour of an adolescent pretending to go up to clean their room until their parents have to check in on them.We have a ridiculous amount of sickness at work it's insane. Always the young staff, constant fevers, headaches, tummy aches. It leaves us so short staffed and they don't get paid for the day. But they just don't care and continue to do it.
They’ve certainly ruined WFH for a lot of people. We’ve only been recommending one day a week in the office until now, but from September they want people working an average of 50/50 on and off site.If you're too ill to work, don't log on! That's what WFH has done; people sign in and then bunk off, expecting to get paid as normal.
Needing a shit within minutes of getting out of the bath or shower
Yes it's the younger people that are less reliable for us too, but they're also less expensive which pretty much explains why.We have a ridiculous amount of sickness at work it's insane. Always the young staff, constant fevers, headaches, tummy aches. It leaves us so short staffed and they don't get paid for the day. But they just don't care and continue to do it.
Yes, but the same people who pride themselves for going to work whilst infected with THE PLAGUE are the ones who consider just doing your job QUIET QUITTING.I think its better to stay home from work if you're sick
Yep. There’s being a martyr and working yourself to the bone, and then there’s just being a lazy shit who doesn’t seem to take any pride in what they’re paid to do.Basically it's the LYING about being sick, or calling in sick because you've broken a fingernail type of youngster that's annoying.
and then there’s just being a lazy shit who doesn’t seem to take any pride in what they’re paid to do.
And how they don't even try to hide that they lied on their social media. And then the constant sick days just before a long weekend etc.
I did feel mild prestige working in an opticans to be fair. That was just a super toxic workplace.Perhaps it depends a bit on your line of work. I don't think with job like mine just fulfilling your contract really works. You've got to care and take pride in what you do.
And now, do you still feel that way in your current line of work? You do SUCH an important job!I've spent most of my adult being deeply NOT PROUD of any of the shit work I've done. There's so much more to life than a 9-5. I f*cking hate it.
Well with us it’s ADMIN, but there’s so much responsibility. if you don’t care to do the diligent checks, you could literally be giving rapists, drug dealers and violent criminals licences to take children to school.I've spent most of my adult being deeply NOT PROUD of any of the shit work I've done. There's so much more to life than a 9-5. I fucking hate it.
