Robyn - Dancing on My Own

Is it enough to counter the growing grumblings about the new material?

On first listen: dunno! But I did love the quiet bit followed by lots of 'drums'.

oh I liked it by the end

but is it a HIT LEAD SINGLE? Not outside the Baltic I say...

I love it. Still not 100% convinced it's a top 5 hit, which is what she needs. But still, LOVE IT!

Oh I LIKE THIS.

Much more like it after the wonky Fembot and None Of Dem.

*kiss of death*

*YAWN*

Seriously, I can't see this launching her back at all.

'Fembot' at least had the quirky edge to it. This is plain dull.

I think I'm too heterosexual to like this... I prefer fembot. UNPOPULAR OPINION.

Does anyone have an mp3 of this? I want it on my iPod :(

You can all stop looking, I found one. Thanks anyway.

Fuck me I LIKE THIS A LOT. :disco:

maybe it's because, like "Be Mine!" it's the story of my LIFE.

you know what, i've decided i think i would quite like to be Robyn's friend. i mean, if her songs reflect any semblence of truth i can relate to her a LOT. she's not pretty, nobody seems to fancy her, she pines after people ALL THE TIME, yet she goes out and runs the scene like a dancehall queen and just doesn't want no hassle. and probably looks like a FREAK the whole time. AMAZING.

I LOVE ROBYN.

This is immense. It's like they've taken the "Open your Heart" (Madonna) bassline and turned it on its head.

And I love how minimalist it is (even though it builds up ad up and up as the song goes on.)

Loving. It.

Apart from HERSELF, it seems, posting on Moopy.

OH NO I've been rumbled

Best thing I've heard amongst her new tracks. Sounds like Kleerup's track, is it his?

It sounds a lot like Kleerup's '3am', but not as good.

I think I might be totally OVER Robyn bar a decent selection of songs. This is such an obvious attempt to replicate the success of 'With Every Heartbeat', but with approximately one fifth of the emotion. The lyrics are desperately attempting to evoke something (anything), but it's just so everyman in comparison to 'WEH' that even Rachel Stevens could sing a song of similar lyrical content and it'd probably still sound as PLODDING.

Not much of a fan. It's alright, but far short of what I'd like.

I actually really like it on first listen, great melody, nice melancholy production and she sounds lovely on it.

I don't see it becoming a hit though, honestly

That's my opinion as well

Well,,, there will be two more albums (or "mini-albums") this year

Wow, i am very proud of my 22 year old self right now.

Like what's the likelihood of anyone ever saying that?
