Warming up to it more. It's definitely a bit too pleasant, not quite melancholic but not 'cinematic' either. It deserves a good run imo but down the road I don't think it will be all that memorable.

Perhaps it was ultimately cursed with never living up to its collaboration hype. They're both massive stars.

I mean it's no SHALLOW
But then what is?

WAHOOH
WAHOOOOH HOWOAOAHAOHAOAOA!!!!!GHGHGHGHGHG GGGGGGHHHHHM in the DEEP ENDDDDDD
etc. etc.

I'm torn between being happy for gags success and being disappointed that this godawful display of heterosexuality is being financially rewarded.

I think regardless of whether this song is for you or not, it's really smart that she's laying some groundwork with the locals before her own proper comeback.

4/5 years between albums is a very long time. much better to come back with a recent hit fresh in the memory as a still-relevant popstar.

It's totally FINE but I can't see myself ever making a conscious effort to listen to it. It's kind of hard work.

I can imagine there's a timeline where this becomes A PRETTY BIG HIT.

I mean it's no WOMAN IN LOVE, POWER OF LOVE or MY ALL but it can see it could quite cross audience appeal.

That or it will sink quickly.

Who upgraded who though? 🧐

I think Bruno upgraded Gaga; he's in a million dollar worth of CASINO DEBTS, he had an old SILK SONIC demo laying around and Gaga needed something safe and mainstream to cement another guaranteed streaming hit for years to come, a la Shallow before unleashing LG7 into the world which will no doubt be full of melody-free, industrial noisy gay pop with lyrics that will become TwitterX quotes for the Monsters :disco: so WHY NOT??

Bruno has some good tunes, for example, Gorilla, Chunky, When I Was Your Man, and Grenade; on a good day I would tolerate Nothin' On You, Treasure, or Locked Out Of Heaven.

I feel there are others out there that I find far more offensive than wee ol'Bruno like Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Michael Bublé, Drake, Justin Bieber, etc.

In fairness a quick cursory glance yesterday showed that it's only really North America where this song is totally smashing. Everywhere else much like the UK seems to be a steady rise(#9 Australia, #21 Ireland for example)

It's barely scraped the top 50 across much of continent, what a flop :(
