I’ll probably stay up until about 3 as I have to work Wednesday, but hoping we’ll know the WAY OF THE WATERS by then.
 
My recollection is that the American networks have huge advert breaks about every six minutes and that it becomes irritating very quickly.
 
Been lurking on this thread for a while. I was feeling rather positive until reading my parents copy of the sun today (I guess Rupert does own it… still?) and they bang on about “no-one knows what she stands for”. Come on babes, even I as a don’t give a f about kids knows her spiel for new parents.

I’m hoping Taylor and Beyonce say something tonight/ tomorrow. They surely know how influential they are and what’s at stake and that they can’t just leave it with what they’ve done thus far?

There’s been a fair bit of debate on this online, whether it’s a decent indicator or not, and while I’d say normally it doesn’t matter, at the moment i think (just my opinion based on different things I’ve read) that the democrats need to be ahead in the popular vote.

Their % leads in states like California and New York is currently way bigger than the Republican % leads in Texas and Florida. If the popular vote is even then Trump must be getting his votes from other states. Most of the red states are tiny, so that would suggest higher Rep turnout in places like Ohio, Michigan… and Pennsylvania.

If the dem popular vote is up, then that tracks with the higher margins in CA etc, and has less of an impact on the likelihood of swing states.

It’s just more speculation at this point and it seems not everyone agrees, so it’s just my take.

In the U.K. we don't even get to see the INSANE American adverts for US WONDER DRUGS where everything they’ve just promised is undone by the small print “does not cure cancer” :(

I remember a lot of the 30 minute comedy shows would run their ad break right after the opening credits :D how do Americans ever get invested in a show if watching live?

I do love election night and watching the counties and everything. It’s so thrilling. Must be how normal people feel during the Super Bowl

I liked this episode because it told me what I wanted to hear (about a Kamala INSIDER being kinda confident)

Hopefully we get a SHOCK Florida win and we can all call it an early night, and the margin of victory is so great Trump can’t throw Insurrection 2: Electric Boogaloo.
