I don't feel qualified to start the 2025 thread

 
OMG. Yes please! Is the Nigel thing going to go anywhere? I get he was in the show in the 90’s but he wasn’t and still isn’t a great character. Almost as weird as Joe Swash returning.
 
I quite like Nigel. He's not the stereotypical Eastenders gruff and moody male. He's like the non evil Reiss.
 
Nigel was a rare character in that I don’t think he ever really did anything morally wrong in any of his storylines. There are a few others like that but they were only the likes of Fatboy and Gus.
 
I didn’t watch it back in the 90s but are they slightly retconning how close Nigel and Phil were? I always thought he was Grant’s friend really.

No, they were always friends. They all went to school together.

Same. I know they all went to school, but Grant was always his actual “best mate”, so I presume Phil is a couple of years older.

Also annoyed that it’s on at 10pm tonight and not on iPlayer, preceded by something entirely unnecessary that could have been swapped around in the schedule.

How did he whack Denise? She was about 6ft away from him and he called her back? She could have easily legged it.
 
Although this is a much better ending for Nish than just sloping away to prison.
 
Just absolutely daft, and repeating the same narrative beats they’ve already done multiple times just on a higher budget.
 
I've just watched tonight's. No spoilers but Priya to be promoted to main character and finally put to good use in 2025 please!
 
Can somebody please bring back Kheerat? He’s in prison for something Ravi did, but Suki seems to have forgotten that because Ravi is “a nice guy” now.
 
Suki has big form for leaving children in prison (and worse), so not a major plot hole really

As with Ben, there's a little bit of homo-washing with Suki. I think we're supposed to forget she's a pretty TERRIBLE person now she's in a fan-fave relationship.

It's all ok, because SHE'S FINALLY BEING THE PERSON SHE WAS NEVER ALLOWED TO BE EVEN THOUGH HER HUSBAND WAS IN PRISON FOR 20 YEARS AND SHE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO SLIP SOME FINGERS
 
Denise also seems to have forgotten that she saw the recording of Ravi murdering his adoptive father and blaming it on Suki (when Suki could have easily claimed self defence if she had reported it). All because he looks good in a tight T-Shirt?

I wonder how Walford would feel about Luigi Mangione.
