OMG Maddie from The Traitors is in the Christmas and Boxing Day Call the Midwife.
 
BARB still hasn't updated for w/e 15th December. Considering it didn't update last Monday, I don't have much faith in it updating tomorrow either. Perhaps it won't be until the end of next week or the start of the week after.
 
I'd put a health warning on those until BARB or the BBC confirms it, presumably next week though.
 
BARB has updated with the late two weeks though, so I'll post them later.
 
If that figure for Gavin and Stacey is correct, apparently it's the highest figure for a TV episode in over 20 years.

And the figure for Wallace and Gromit would make it the highest audience for a film in 25 years.

That's down around 170k (less than 2%) for Strictly on the final last year, which I'd say is a pretty negligible drop. Plus it had a 59.8% audience share. Given that it seems to have been as well received as any series recently, I think the BBC will be more than pleased with how it played out this year, given the bad headlines it was getting for most of last year before the series started.

I think I made a mistake for the last week when I referred to Masterchef, when I thought it was the final week. This week (which I believe WAS the final week), all three shows charted.

That's the BBC1 figure only for The King's Speech - the ITV broadcast didn't chart.

EastEnders drew just under 5.5m for the early Christmas Day show, and just over 5.5m for the later show - the figure above is the average across all 5 episodes in the week.

Netflix got 4.281m for the first episode of season 2 of Squid Game, but none of the other episodes charted. The #50 show got 2.952m, so they all had fewer than that, and so would have an average below the chart above.
 
Gail's departure episode got the second lowest rating of the week for Coronation Street. They royally fucked that up.
 
That has to be seen as a success for Outnumbered. Despite the mixed reaction you would think they'll want to look at bringing it back for a series.
 
Yes, I was surprised to see it that high after the overnights, and online reaction, which I'd say was mixed at best. As much as I had issues with it, I'd be happy to see it back and to see the story explored more.

I can imagine Miranda Hart would be able to command a nice fee and a decent budget, if she's inclined to write a Christmas Special next year. Surely the BBC are going to be desperate to keep their success this year up. I'd say Miranda is the most obvious sitcom to revive.

It is lovely to see The King’s Speech BOMB this year compared to others. That is if we are talking of THE KING CHARLES SPEECH and not the movie of the same name.

Yes. It was quite a nice episode but I would much rather her new fella drove her off a cliff or the likes.
 
Yes, it was the speech. Actually, the broadcast was just called 'The King'. And it is down just over a million on last year (comparing just BBC again).
