Luxembourg 2025: Laura Thorn - La poupée monte le son

Bless One Last Time trying to wring as much crowd response as they can out of this fairly pleasant, straightforward run of the mill pop-rock song :D

Good performance concept for 'MÄNA', although it might help if she could SING IT FOR SHIT

The Poupée staging really doesn't need to be as childish as it is. It's lovely fun, but that feels like a potential flight risk in the semis.

The behatted one in Zero Point Five clearly gets through an unholy amount of cocaine of a weekend.

:D at the cruelty of Zero Point Five getting the opening ten then BOT ALL AFTER THAT

Zero Point Five could very plausibly have a decent entry in them down the line if they sort their vocals out.

The obvious winner, but that televote is a hell of a warning shot. They need to sort that performance concept out.

Judging by the mention of the word MAQUILLAGE, is Laura thanking someone for the STYLING OCH CONSULTING here? :disco:

Just listened to Poupée and Je danse. Not sure either would be competitive. The shaky vocals on Poupée could be an issue.

Anyway I agree that this isn't fully baked yet - the vibe is a bit too JESC. But I have faith in the Luxembourg team to use the next few months to pull it together. I think they took Fighter as far as could realistically have been expected.

I think maybe going slightly less literal with the doll costume for the first two thirds might help. I was thinking she could start with more of a stereotypical 60s look, like Caroban from Serbia in 2011, and then change into a more modern outfit for the breakdown section?

In any event, I'm pleased Luxembourg are carving out a bit of an identity for themselves in the Contest, and even if it goes over a lot of heads, referencing their most famous entry is a pretty fun idea.

These are all fan rips, nobody's put official performance videos out yet. To be fair to Laura, hers is her post-winning performance so she's understandably a bit more giggly and excited.

But Je Danse was quite rough. Good visuals, but it feels like nerves got to him a bit.

Some vocal issues could be sorted out indeed, but that’s a much more memorable performance :o
Not that that matters now.

Je danse was appalling and I'm not sure those vocals could have been papered over without going for a full 'shady lady disguised as tree' style solution.

Steal the Je danse visuals and slap them on Poupée. Not that that makes any sense, but anything is better than acting like a doll.

I personally think they should reference their OTHER most famous entry and have her do the first third of the performance in a PADDED BAG :disco:
