I wonder what the streaming figures for Friday are... I see it's up to 2 on apple music UK, and surely it is at least going there in the charts next week too, given most of the top 5 falls onto ACR this week. Can she overtake Lola Young and get the number 1 though?

#1 US Spotify, #2 in the UK

So far:

Abracadabra
Day 1 - 4,917,207
Day 2 - 5,951,162
Day 3 - 6,184,120
Day 4 - 6,355,221
Day 5 - 8,450,162

Up to new peaks of #2 WW and #1 in USA (2.133M)

BIG.FAT.HIT! :disco:

I tried again with this and can say the second half of the song really elevates it. Glad to see it’s smashing.

Come through this era's We Belong Togaga. Get that SOLO #1 queen.

The "Hold me in your heart tonight" bit in the second verse just HITS for me.

Maybe it will sound great over time, but I'm not hearing it yet.

As a long-term, battle-worn stan, it's gratifying to see that half of her ten most streamed songs now come from the second act of her career (post ARTPOP), while some of her most streamed "oldies but goodies" were considered flops (Judas) or left as album cuts back in the day (Bloody Mary), and even much-maligned ARTPOP prime cuts like Venus and G.U.Y. have surged by hundreds of % points in the last two days. Abracadabra really is a magic spell for (ART)pop justice.

I don't know if it's the sole reason, but Judas was adopted by some TikTok anime fans apparantly - as with all TikTok trends, completely inexplicable why that song.

I was surprised to see that Judas has more streams than Born This Way nowadays. Was there a Bloody Mary-esque TikTok revival?
Bloody Mary became a TikTok trend from the show Wednesday

“When one scene of Ortega — who plays the titular role of Wednesday Addams — dancing to The Cramps’ 1981 single “Goo Goo Muck” went viral, fans began editing the sequence to Gaga’s Born This Way deep cut “Bloody Mary.” The edits sparked a broader trend on TikTok of users re-creating the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star’s choreography, which the Oscar winner herself tried out that December.”

Gags will genuinely be DISMAYED at this outperforming Perfect Illusion and the entireity of Joanne

Do people still hate Perfect Illusion? I always thought it was pretty decent
