Melodifestivalen 2025 GOSSIP OCH BITCHING thread

Seems I've missed the boat on getting (decent) tickets to this year's final so my question is: is it worth going anyway? We could maybe go to the afternoon show and then watch the final elsewhere? Are there any fun VIEWING EVENTS?

I doubt this is the song they submitted - they’re probably saving that for another try next year. It’s likely they recorded a few songs and this is one of them
This is (one of) the songs they entered.

Definitely worth going anyway - to be honest if I go again I would purposely miss attending the actual show; the pressure to keeping waving your assigned balloon is insane

Holding space with that. Where would you recommend watching the final in that case Su?

Get non decent tickets. I've been in the very back row before and it's still fun and a good view.

Block 110-111 is all that’s left (the rest are just single seats). Obviously a side view but could be ok…

I’d imagine there’ll be screens facing the sides and you’ll have seen all the performances by then anyway. Go for it.

If not then there’ll be enough places showing it that you’ll be able to figure it out when you’re there.

Yes, definitely. There’s loads happening on both the Friday and Saturday.

Also, don’t worry about whether tickets are decent or not. I was up the side last year and it was still just as good as when I was in the seats next to the green room. The arena isn’t big enough for there to be properly bad seats.

The Friday night pre-party is definitely the highlight, but the rehearsal shows are good fun too. In 2017 I got to see Anton Hagman win the fake voting, which was far preferable to the actual result.

There's usually a brilliantly low rent shopping centre meet and greet/ appearance at some point, which has amused me over the years! :D
I still have flashbacks to standing in line in a dodgy Stockholm shopping centre, waiting my turn to meet Robin Bengtsson, questioning my own sanity. Even I drew the line at Dolly Style.

I do recommend it though if there is an event on. We got to meet Krista Siegfried one year and had a long conversation with her. We felt bad as when we were in the queue standing in line to meet her, we discovered the lovely family we got talking to were actually Krista's Swedish relatives. I can't believe she made them queue. 😂

They showed it at the 2 Brewers last year as well, so likely to do the same again

Artists whose submitted entries for Melodifestivalen have been rejected by SVT, according to Aftonbladet:

  • A trio consisting of David Lindgren, Boris René and Greg Curtis (who have allegedly all also submitted solo entries)
This is now in the mix for San Marino
