All I can think about at the moment is the psychology of Trump’s loyal followers. Imagine if Harris had won. Imagine if in the first 3 months she sided with Russia, pissed off most of Europe, caused a diplomatic crisis with Canada, abandoned Gaza, fired thousands of government employees and given high level contracts and jobs to her inexperienced friends.
The Trumpers would be hysterical with rage, and calling her useless and dangerous, and demanding another insurrection.
Meanwhile those exact same people think it’s a sign of strength from Trump.
What’s the tipping point? How do you unravel such unwavering support, no matter how bad someone is at being leader?
He’s Liz Trussing the country at an incredible rate, and his popularity remains the same. It’s not him that’s shocking any more, it’s the American people. They’re the problem.
