(The internet is taking this as him teasing being cast as Feyed)

Feyd, who's supposed to be the prettiest of (underage) men? BARRY KEOGHAN? I don't see it.

a generous 9 from me. on one hand, it wasn't a full movie, on the other i enjoyed it a lot.
minor gripes overall, and yes, the second half was weaker, mostly the end which was anti-climatic because it's actually not the end. i hate half movies!

the style was excellent (i thought they handled the baron wonderfully), love most of the cast (though some of them felt a bit off, most notably bardem for me) and the sound almost blasted my head off (good).

a friend told me he didn't understand anything. it was so straightforward! perhaps too much so.
i should play him the lynch version, huh.

I disliked Bardem a lot. Terrible performance (wasn’t impressed with Zendeya as well, she was just herself).

Having never seen the 1984 film, or read the book series, or being unfamiliar with the story, I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't even realise Javier Bardem was in it until the credits rolled! Looking forward to the next part.

True, but it does always feel like it could all kick off at any moment whenever he's on screen in anything, so I think it'll work. I always enjoy it when he pops up.

I've yet to see anything Zendaya do anything noteworthy in anything and I can't see the next instalment adding much. Bardem was just typical Bardem, but thankfully very little of it at that.

She’s great on Euphoria and pretty good in Spider-man.

I haven't seen Euphoria but thought she was pretty forgettable in Spider-man to be honest.

The Dune role is thankless anyway, so I can hardly blame her for not chewing up the scenery like Lady Jessica or the Reverend Mother :D Sean Young equally struggled to leave a mark in the Lynch version.

OMG 3 pages and no mention that CRYSTAL GORDON from Bad Girls has a HUGE ROLE in this film, and is amazing in it? :disco:

I was so excited to find out it WAS HER when wikipedia-ing immediately afterwards.

Anyway, I LOVED IT. A perfect cinema film. The sound design was amazing, as were the visuals. I didn't drag for me at all - I could have lasted another hour for sure.

I appreciated the streamlining of the plot from the batshit (but enjoyable) Lynch version. It was a lot easier to follow as a direct comparison (and I've read the book too)
Loved how they'd at least attempted to diversify the cast, although they for sure could have swapped a couple more women into more prominent roles.
Timothée was perfectly cast for the role.

I didn't realise it was the same director as Blade Runner 2049, but that makes sense as it was my IMMEDIATE COMPARISON as a film :D I loved Blade Runner 2049 also :disco:

QUITE ANNOYED they haven't even started FILMING the next one yet :D

I finally watched this today - I liked it quite a lot, but I do think it suffers from the fact it told half a story. The pacing felt all weird in the last 30 minutes - definitely didn't feel like the end of a film. I understand that it isn't the end of the story, but I feel they could have taken a few more liberties with the story to give the movie a climax.

Also loved seeing Crystal from Bad Girls in this. :D Though why did she have to have an American accent?!!?
