I think you mean this video: Enya - Song to Soul
Instinct? Like your instinct about "Music Box Horror"? ๐Ÿ˜œ
To be precise, Nicky said "the next album", which may or may not be new music.
Anyway, "...besides the next album, this would be a project we'd look forward to" sounds like he's discussing aspirational goals. It also suggests something in the future that wasn't currently in progress. (Why are they so cryptic?!)
I've posted my observations and reasonings quite a few times in various places, I think you just ignore them. ๐Ÿ˜› Anyway, it's rather difficult to prove a negative, i.e. to prove they have NOT recorded. There's no proof they HAVE, and they certainly have never clearly stated "we've recorded X new songs so far", etc.

:D Thatโ€™s possible it's not new music, but they'd probably have mentioned something about Dark Sky Island being the end of the discography by now. Then again he did listen from Celts to Dark Sky Island, but surely there's some new melody that Enya could've come up with in the past 7-8 years. ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽถ

I do consider what you've said previously, but as one of several different perspectives rather than considering anyone (yourself, Richard) an 'authority' for information, regardless of how in-depth the findings may be. However, if you were an insider... ๐Ÿ‘

Also for the video, it doesn't seem to be that one (unless the parts were cut out). It was possibly on the VK page โ€“ also featuring an old film with a man sitting by the sea, and Enya was talkng about the music used for that, as well as talking about how Rachmaninoff was intoxicated or something. ๐Ÿค”

Haha, the trio are rather cryptic ๐Ÿ”ฎ I suppose that's part of the fun with Enya music

Oh, my bad, THIS should be the video you seek:

The comment about the actual topic of the movie is enlightening...I'd never looked into it. Interesting that it's basically a stalker story, with the added complexity of the adult male protagonist's attraction to an adolescent boy. Her description of the film is very watered-down (actually inaccurate) and skips over a lot, lol.

Alas, no insiders seem willing to communicate with us peon fans anymore. So I have to sleuth around to find out anything, then analyze it.

Personally, I'm over the "mysterious" schtick (and I'm not alone). Given how much direct communication we had with them in the past, particularly with Roma, this near-silence is a huge letdown. Particularly in contrast to how other artists engage with their fanbases (and super fans in particular) these days.

Thanks for the link :) Interesting about the films and Enya's interpretation while skipping over a major storyline of the film Death In Venice. I see the stalker fascination vaguely continues with Every Breath You Take by The Police ๐Ÿ˜…

Oh, it was that the conductor was intoxicated, not Rachmaninoff, though he was the one in despair from the incident.๐Ÿ’ญ๐ŸŽผ

It is enlightening considering all this from a composer's perspective, which more or less applies to Enya herself. :enya:

With that considered (how Roma in particular communicated a lot with the fans previously, but not much in the past 2 years at least) I get how you (and most long-time fans) would be fed up by this point, especially with the lack of communication.
It would be disappointing if the trio retired without letting fans know, but I think keeping quiet about minor happenings during the album recording process is fine.

There are many others who might have only discovered Enya's music in the past few years. The odd few (like myself, and Anna) are just as into the deeper and perhaps less obvious/ behind-the-scenes aspects of Enya music as more experienced fans.๐Ÿ’ก

Your discoveries and analysis of various Enya-related things have been rather entertaining in the meantime  and can be informative; it is appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜Š

From my perspective it's not the mystery that's annoying, but the idea of not ever getting to experience the release of a new Enya album (hence the constant wishing for a new one ๐Ÿ˜… but it really would be great for everyone interested to hear something new from Enya). ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽถ

Update on all those ad jingles credited to Nicky. Now, many are showing up under IPI 00065401695 for RYAN NICK. The listings I spotted for โ€œourโ€ Nicky (IPI 00145642476) are also still in the database; perhaps those will be deleted at some point.

Also, some of the 70โ€™s stuff originally credited to him is now credited to that RYAN NICK.

So, it appears all of that was simply mistakenly credited to Nicky. I knew that was a possibility, but it was fun to think perhaps he'd been keeping busy doing ad jingles while waiting for Eithne to come up with some ideas. :tongueout:

Oh okay ๐Ÿ˜… It would've been interesting, but surely the trio have been busy-ish with actual Enya projects. ๐Ÿคž๐ŸŽถ

19 pence, OMG!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Haha the price wouldn't matter if the call happened successfully! ๐ŸŒŸ
I thought all the /s, /g shortenings (tone tags) were a recent thing, but no. :D
They might not appreciate everything I've dug up (and compiled). ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Of course not everything, but for the most part, they would. :)

There are certainly lots of little archives that various fans have in some format, but not everyone is going to share them as conveniently downloadable digital files like yourself. ๐Ÿ’ก

I don't know of "regular" fans who sent a letter then got a reply. I've seen one or two claims of such things, but they appeared suspect.
Ah okay. A real autograph (like what Isabel has, with the cat ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š) would be good enough though!

They haven't seemed interested in communicating with fans who are not in the music business, media, etc.
Maybe not on a letter correspondence level, but the trio probably would have some interest in hearing from fans e.g. a chat in person. I imagine they'd feel bad for ditching written communication with a fan suddenly.
Over the years, some fans (e.g., Irene Zaino, Peter Pehrson, John Eckroth, Nigel Sellens, etc., etc.) did get drawn into the trio's orbit. Thus they had direct or at least semi-direct contact, but didn't seem to provide the rest of us much information...
Lucky them, oh well for the rest of us. :eyes:
If Enya's hiring, I'll be available ๐Ÿ˜„ even as a voiceless backing singer or violinist!

I'm curious, what would your first moves be if you suddenly got to be in close contact with the trio? :disco:

Oh, I've got lots of questions to ask! But the answer to the first one would probably be, "the door's over there." ๐Ÿคฃ TBH, I don't think I need to prepare for that scenario.

I'm prob just tired but the bit about Isabel and a cat went over my head.

That's fair enough with the dislike of AI, haha. (: Though I like AI for the amusement, or to portray an idea, but not for factual things.

Where did you get Bridin's exact birthdate?
The "Infobox" on her Wikipedia page had an exact date, 10th July 1968, but was in the wrong place/incorrectly formatted, so didn't display (edited since).
It fits with the newspaper mention you found, which also suggested July and 'recently' for her 21st birthday, in 1989. ๐Ÿ’ก

Also regarding those Japanese uploads, no update on the video for those screenshots (except the ability to visually translate), nor the Orinoco Flow performance video.
However, from searching
#ใ‚จใƒณใƒค (Enya in Japanese) on YouTube, there are some interesting videos. ๐Ÿ˜Š
