A Topic for Male Celebrities Rape/Sexual Assault Scandals

If it’s just filthy talk around the workplace, once again this is the type of thing that didn’t need to me made public and result in “cancellation” if it had been appropriately handled by the BBC in the first place.
It seems that the problem might be that it was appropriately handled by the BBC, he was strongly instructed not to do it again and he ignored them. In a ‘normal’ workplace, that’ll definitely get you fired but it shouldn’t mean that you’ll never work again.

Quite! No one gets cancelled anymore, you just re-brand as a NAZI!
I really am quite surprised that twitter is flooded with memes about what an awful move this is, and what his agent must think. In today's climate he's just opened up a whole new world of potential career opportunities.

Another woman of a certain age. Almost as if they are the only ones with enough power/security/couldn't give a fuck any more to speak up.

Jack Whitehall on The One Show plugging some Christmas special:

“We’re appealing to a much maligned demographic at the moment. That is middle class women of a certain age” :D

Accusations of groping now. Questions now getting asked why this has been going on since 2012 and nothing being done about it. Can’t say I am surprised. :eyes:

I think it's abundantly clear that in TV everyone always knows and there's a widespread culture of silence. 🤷‍♂️

Why did Gregg Wallace have so much clout? He was more than replaceable on Masterchef so how did he not get sacked before this? Did the BBC not want the negative publicity? Did they not think it was worth investigating? It’s all just so sneaky and underhanded.

This was an interesting discussion on it. In particular, the disconnect between production companies and the BBC, where the former want an easy life and don't want to have to deal with the extra hassle of taking things to the BBC so try to deal with things themselves (in this case, really badly), leading to the latter being somewhat blindsided when things do occur.

Surely there is not THAT much of a disconnect that it wasn’t brought to anyone’s attention. Complaints people were making were to the production company rather than to the BBC? Personally I think it would be very naive to believe that they knew nothing of any of this.

I mean, I gave a brief recollection of what I remember from listening yesterday. Listen to it if you want the full detail of what they say on it.

I mean, I am just replying to your summary of what they said.

‘If you won’t let me sleep with you, would you lick my [anus]?’

From Greg(g)’s ghostwriter

Amazed it took so long tbh. Well weeks and we had to go through Gregg Wallace being a rotted pigcunt.

I'm nervously curios to see which female music icons get brought in and that includes Usher.

It's really not though.

Just find a deep dive video on YouTube that will take you through the names connected to the Diddy stuff.

If you are just repeating something you've read/heard elsewhere we should be fine. We can always split and community the thread if we feel it has crossed a line, so to speak

Also, I think the reason you are surprised is because Jay-Z has successfully beyonce-washed his reputation.

Though there are tweets suggesting Beyonce's mother is liking articles about this story

From the top of my head, the big names that could be involved

J-Lo was Diddy's girlfriend
Usher was mentored by Diddy
Justin Bieber was mentored by Usher
Leonard di Caprio and Ashton Kutcher were allegedly at the Freak Off parties

I can't think of other off the top of my head, quite a few were connected to the rap scene which I have limited knowledge of.

Yes I think this is probably what it is. I didn’t realised he was the richest artist in music. Worth 2.5 billion. This is also surely going to have a negative effect on Beyonce just by association.

Both 50 Cent and Eminem have alluded to Diddy's behaviour for years, neither are implicated.

Were both Usher and Justin Bieber not children themselves when they were associated with Diddy? So are they implicated due to the fact that they were sexually assaulted or because they were involved with sexual assault on others?

Oh appalling. Stories will come out connecting her and you don't just marry a high profile sex offender with no knowledge, certainly not when it's been an open secret for years.

It's implied that Usher was a victim who became an offender. Bieber is not implicated.

The past few years has really shown what a sordid, seedy cesspit the entertainment industry is and I am pretty sure we will have a lot more still to come out in the wash. :zombie:
