Agatha All Along (Disney+)

Last night’s episode has some great bits but seems rather tame compared to last week. I realize the song is a big part of the show but I really don’t need to see it again :D

we're still due a Country AND a Big Band version surely??

I'm not familiar with Agatha comic-wise at all but was she always a queer character or are they making up things as they go? She never teased anything in WandaVision.

She was an OLD woman who worked for the Fantastic Four babysitting Franklin and then eventually became a mentor for Wanda to help her learn to control her magic. She then died but mysteriously came back when Wanda had her children. When Wanda went “crazy” she killed Agatha again because she blamed her for losing the children which were never real in the first place.

She was then a ghost for some time and eventually came back YOUNG AND HOT because of the popularity of the MCU shows

As far as I know she was never Queer in the books unless it’s a recent addition

That second picture :D not aiming for the BROS at all!

I'm reading theories on Twitter and wanted to know if they are canon in the comics, starting with her and Rio being in a romantic relationship in the past.

Tonight’s episode was pretty great and answered quite a few questions. Was fun seeing EP again

A very interesting episode last night. A bit confusing at first until I figured out what was going on.

It's one of the BEST Marvel properties from the last 5 years and the cast is a delight; Patti Lupone to receive and award pls.
It’s easily only behind WandaVision and the first season of Daredevil for me. I really love this series

I'd put it up there with Loki S1 and WandaVision as far as MCU TV series go. I didn't mind Hawkeye and thought Moon Knight was cute but Bucky & Falcon were kind of boring. The less we talk about She-Hulk and Loki S1 the better.

It's all CRUMBS and take what you can get post-End Game for me (and I've watched everything). Now let's see if Marvel ruins all the goodwill with the supposed Wiccan spinoff and the solo Scarlet Witch movie.

If we're not getting even a HINT of Wanda's current status in the finale I'm DONE.😤 AND DON'T TELL ME SHE'S DEAD.

The whole series was amazing and I won't hear any slander against it, go watch She-Hulk or Ms. Marvel for some crap content :)

1. It feels like they ran out of time and the final storyline bits were rushed to get done
2. I hate that The Road is not actually real. I get that it was Billy’s room that influenced the show but I still think they could have kept it as a real place like in the books
3. They really kicked Jennifer out as soon as possible and didn’t give her a proper trial like the others
4. While it’s book accurate, I really don’t love Ghost Agatha.

That said, it’s still one of the best Marvel series overall and I hope we get to see more of the characters.

I've been thinking about this but, don't you think Marvel shot themselves in the foot and are probably clueless about what to do next because a TV show about some minor characters exploded without precedent? I always felt they didn't have much faith in the show considering Agatha, Wiccan, Death and the rest are not as ubiquitous as other Marvel characters. I dunno, it's probably the equivalent of doing a Wolverine movie that flops but then a movie featuring Jubilee becomes a hit all of a sudden and they want to milk it.

VisionQuest and the solo Wiccan series sound like they've potential and I hope they don't fuck it up. I also read they might finally make the solo Scarlet Witch movie but their female-led projects (Black Widow, The Marvels) don't do well :(

Yeah they really had NO expectations for this show at all. It took forever to come out, was being called a “musical” and numerous reports said it was just being dumped out to get it out of the way since they are moving to the new phase in the MCU. I don’t think they anticipated that people other than DUDEBROS were going to be watching and loving it.

I enjoyed the final 2 episodes. Even shed a tear.:ClaudiaCrying:

I would have liked the fight between Agatha/Billy and Rio to last longer. It's a show involving witches and magic, give us some cool fx. Also the whiplash of Agatha sacrificing herself, then not sacrificing herself, then sacrificing herself after all was a bit odd and felt abrupt.

All in all great to finally have a Marvel series again I cared to watch.

I'm not really a Marvel head, but I found the ending convoluted and I was disappointed that once again they wouldn't commit to a definitive ending - though I guess that's just the Marvel WAY.

The fact that Agatha 100% is a barely repentant at best mass murderer makes it hard to understand why anyone would root for her, too. Like, poor Lilia giving up her life for that bitch! :D (And the other two as well, I know, but still...)

I've found this nigh on impossible to follow, but I've stuck with it for Kathyrn and Patti.

I'll make it through the final two episodes this weekend, but overall I've found it rather a damp squib.

Sorry Pips but I thought this was terrible. Unengaging, meandering and I agree with Chrissy, hard to follow mainly because it was just so dull.

oh well, Try again later in 2027 after Avengers 5 and 6. Spider-Man 4, She-Hulk 2, Moon Knight 2 and Dr. Strange 3!

In all seriousness I forgot to add you need to have at least a bit of background knowledge on all the characters to follow along, they never stated it was a stand-alone show :disco: It's now the highest rated Marvel TV Show ever so sorry for you guys missing out.

I'm pleased it's done well even if I did not enjoy it.

More GIRLY/GAY/LESS BLOKEY Marvel stuff please

On PopJustice?
