I am enjoying this but I am a bit bored of the lack of the 3 leads together - it seems to be separate storylines, with each of them accompanied by their new buddy, and minimal interaction between just Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda without somebody else shoe-horned in to make up the numbers.

I think the sole purpose of the whole episode was to introduce this "glimmer of hope" in Carrie's life.
And I felt sorry for Miranda overall.

I thought exactly the same when watching the last episode - they give the impression of somebody way too pleased with themselves.

I don't really have sympathy for Miranda talking about Steve like that (or rather think that the stage has came to actually communicate with him here). I appreciate what she's going through, but at what point is it okay not to be telling him any of this? I did smirk when she turned around away from him as I just assumed imagining he was someone else would have done the trick - I know it often did for me with my last one.

The appeal of the unfunny stand up is that they are a "stud" like figure I'm guessing. They're certainly very attractive, confident and the "you're in love with yourself with me" reply I thought was actually quite lovely. Good god no more routines from them though.
