Yes, do it. Perhaps employ a new rule of maximum of 2 weeks extension (combined between entry and voting deadlines - so if 10 days for 1, there can only be 4 more days extended) and then someone else can take over the reigns. I do think our personal lives should always take priority over online shenanigans and that absolutely no one is entitled to any explanations with regards to what can be happening in our lives, so it's not personal at all - 5 weeks after the original entry deadline went by, it was not the first time this happened and there was regular online activity elsewhere, so someone else taking over is absolutely the correct step and ought to have happened sooner. I'm not shading or getting at our host - I'm actually surprised they couldn't have either asked for help (ie, someone else take over and our launch host could deliver the results that will have all been done for them) or step down based on previous form (I think this is the 3rd time). Plus, we're all adults - adults who take online music contests very, very, very seriously. Indeed, the numbers may well be dwindling down, but there will be some with higher and lower turn-outs than others - being prompt and on time with them could well be the thing that keeps the tradition afloat (and the extension limit adding some drama for those that need it - not many on here of course).
