There was also some stuff the other day about Steven Moffat possibly returning as a writer, which I think is fantastic news - he did his best work under RTD, it was when he took over as showrunner that his own writing took a slight hit in some respects.

Sooz Kempner joining the Whoniverse in some weird multi-media tie-in... This is bizarre!

That feels like the sort of thing we'd have been watching in the mid-Nineties if it had never been cancelled :D

Hold the fuck up. I went to school with her! When did she become a z-list actor!? :D

She's better known as a comedian; she's good fun on Twitter (and absolutely nailed Nadine Dorries several times) but I didn't see this coming.

Um what the fuck ? I went to school with her too?! Where did you go to school with her? I went to Oakwood in Horley.

East Grinstead so not far away. I assume she switched halfway through or something? I don’t remember a lot about her.

Ha she was with us from Year 7 to at least Year 10 - then I left to go to Sixth Form college. Maybe she just did A Levels with you?

I was actually in The Diary of Anne Frank with her. Claim to fame. 😂

A few weeks ago, I was enjoying a strong decaf oat latte in Pret when who should walk in, but only Russell T Davies! After he had settled at a table, I went over and told him I have been a huge fan of Doctor Who since the 80s and how excited I was for the specials and new series. He said it was going to be marvellous and I replied that with him at the helm, it couldn't be anything but!

He was so sweet. A little bizarrely, he said that nothing's gone wrong so far. "Touch wood it won't," I quipped as I knocked on the table. He also said that I must get people to watch and I told him that's been my lifelong mission since I was 4!

That's lovely Nancy! I'd love to meet him, he seems like such a sweetheart.

I don't think this will be a huge surprise, but I'm really happy he's returning:

It's back filming here today. I know Jinkx was spotted in Newport where they were filming last week, so I may take a slight detour on the way to clinic :disco:

Artist provided his own photo for the announcement :zombie:

There's WEIRDOS and then there's HIM!

New teaser for the 60th has been cropping up on BBC1 idents:

The text "EV1305" pops up at one point, so probably teasing another trailer around Eurovision final time?

They're really going in on the period costumes for the new series:

(Also featuring gay-interest actor Jonathan Groff)

The binary code translates to "three hours to go"... definitely a trailer before Eurovision then :disco:

The marketing really is great so far though, just a regular drip drip drip of bits and bobs, and when they're showing footage it's JUST enough to tease but really not actually giving much away at all.

Catherine Tate saying ALLONS-Y in her Eurovision appearance was such a lovely little nod to the Who fans :disco:

'Great big starring role'... is he talking about more than one episode?! I'm SO EXCITED!!! Fucking love Mel and Bonnie. :D
