Finally getting round to this… half way through and … is this a joke? How did it get all those nominations? It’s atrocious on every single front - even Zoe Saldana is only ‘ok’.

Does it get better? Very close to turning it off.

Suomi and I used to seek out the worst movies we could find on Netflix and watch them together and invariably they were very similar to this in that they were completely bonkers - but none of them ever had Award Nominations. And certainly not 13 Oscar nominations! The academy should hang their heads in shame.

The only bit that has really entertained me was the song in Thailand with the plastic surgeons that everyone else derides it for

I’m glad I got to El Mal as that was clearly the best song by a mile and I’m actually less resentful of that winning an Oscar than Saldana winning.
