Serbia always seem to sneak through but they have few friends in this semi beyond Montenegro and it's a really weak year for them.

Assuming Armenia will put on a good show and the diaspora will show up for Lithuania.

Ireland vs Greece or Serbia is my real bubble, but I'm choosing to be optimistic for our Norway-robbing neighbours.

Latvia have a really kind draw in terms of friendly neighbours/diaspora, but songs in that style so rarely seem to do well.

Denmark has grown on me but the gay vote will probably go elsewhere and they only have their distant Finnish cousins in terms of friendly voters.

Eurgh. I was hoping this ‘innovation’ had died a deserved death. Especially after last year’s impracticalities.

Genuine question, what innovations from the last 15 years have you approved of? :D

Does the flag parade count? Or inviting Australia?

Keeping the first rehearsals private should hopefully be an improvement too.

@Marina Salty who has voted for Greece and no one else.
As well as Malta and no one else.

There is NO WAY QoL Sissal isn't making the final

She's making it. I was one of the only people to call Bambie qualifying last year if we cast our minds back

I'm the oracle

It's more comparable to SAND! Except with an artist much more willing to do fan engagement

I'm not comparing the SONGS PER SE

See you in the final Sissal babe

Oh I see Ireland sneaking through to the final. I don't expect it to do particularly well once there mind, but I'd be surprised if it stays stuck in the semis

The problem Denmark have is they tend to make zero effort with the staging, or when they do try the outcome tends to be very sloppy.

I think there's an interesting little internal fight for the fan favourite qualifier shaping up between Denmark and Luxembourg, as I struggle to see them both going through. Denmark are doing a little better on the scoreboards at the moment, but Luxembourg have a lot more in their favour generally (later running order, ambitious staging, the French angle).

As I've said before, I do think if we still had 50/50 juries in the semi, Denmark would be in a much better place. I definitely feel the spirit of BIG ANG within Sissal. :disco:

I wish they'd switched Latvia and Lithuania in the running order. Those fabulous witches deserve more of a shot.

It would be much more interesting if either of them were actually fan favourites.

As (1) a fan of both songs; and (2) painfully aware of the dreadful state of the fandom, I am proud that neither are particularly favourites.

I think Luxembourg are likely through. Denmark definitely seems an uphill battle though sadly, it doesn’t help that Finland and Malta are both in the same half.
