This poll proves we still need a proper singles compilation - no fucking about, no 12" versions just all the 7" mixes on 3 or 4 CDs. The first 2 CDs of that would be imperial, the third and fourth at least interesting.
While obviously The Immaculate Collection was iconic, and actually my first proper introduction in to Madonna (I remember Like a Prayer coming out but too young for everything before). Now I prefer most of the album versions, and the omission of Who's The Girl and True Blue was just odd. Something To Remember kind of came out of nowhere and is a very well curated themed compilation rather than just an attempt at a comprehensive singles collection.
The Immaculate Collection should have been the best, but it missed out too much good stuff - and the versions used were inferior to the original single versions.
