La femme publique (1984).

Andrzej Żuławski has quite the strike rate for me. Still not seen Possession (1981), but I'm quite happy to keep that until last perhaps. Although this film actually draws from it. I was put off thinking the director had went into a softcofe erotica drama route out of financial necessity, but his artistic verve was here in spades. I'm more keen than ever to see the rest now.

This one I watched without subtitles, but the shots are dazzling and the photoshoot scenes are something to aspire to.

Only a DVD release sadly. Picture quality was fairly decent though.

I went to the Kermode in 3D Christmas thing at the BFI last night, and we got Mike Leigh, Andrew Garfield, Jason Isaacs (obviously) and George McKay there, as well as Sanjeev doing a bit of Elvis at the end

Put on High Heels (1991) in honor of Marisa Paredes (1946-2024). I don't know her from anything else.
