Which is EXACTLY what they did for Junior Eurovision and came FOURTH. WAKE UP IRELAND!

I had assumed there were technical issues afoot with this one, given that he had a face like thunder from the first note, was fiddling with his earpiece, and then didn't bother to even pretend to sing along for most of the back half of the song.

Or maybe all that gold lamé was simply chafing him to buggery.

Didn't they put the one with the broken arm on the keyboard instead?!?

Surely he'd still have delivered a decent performance regardless. One arm out of action was the least of Ireland's problems.

I think that Wild Youth's song was good, but his performance in the semi final wasn't the best.
As for next year, I was thinking that Jedward should go back. 😄

I've wondered about Enya doing Eurovision of course 😅
(Apparently Clannad entered in 1973, but they didn't qualify. Enya was not there as these articles say, she was probably at boarding school then.)

This Tweet (Enya and nice staging etc.. She probably wouldn't enter just for money, but if it were worth her entering/if she could carry a powerful-seeming live performance.)

I think I'd still rather see Enya on The Masked Singer 😸 but it would be interesting (and they'd at least get through to the final) if she entered Eurovision. Or one of the nieces sings and aunties sing along too 🤗

Two of the Wild Youth lads incl the singer have recorded a couple of podcast episodes talking about their entire experience at (The) Eurovision.

It's very much WARTS AND ALL - they discuss all the hate they received, the JK Rowling incident, issues with the staging/costumes/song itself - and is definitely worth a listen if you're at all interested in all THAT
