Ireland 2025: EMMY - Laika Party

Hopefully they can build on the success of last year's entry by sending something equally demonic and confounding - a Louis Walsh boy band in suit jackets perhaps.

She's coming for revenge...

I think it's time for an entry by Jedward that rips the complete arse out of B*Witched - C'est la vie

Irish press are reporting that Cork singer-songwriter LYRA has submitted an entry and been fast-tracked to the final shortlist.

She had a #1 album this year and seems to be quite a big name for this sort of thing if true. Interested in the thoughts from our Irish contingent.

Her biggest hit to date

Obviously she doesn't sound anywhere near so striking, unique, or - dare I say it - queer as Bambie was and promised to be, but a consolidation left hand side year wouldn't be the worst thing for Ireland to jump to next by any means.

Would they still make her suffer the indignity of battling Louis Walsh's wicked little boyband on the 'Late, Late Show'?

I love LYRA, I've been saying for years that she would be amazing for Eurovision! I've been to a few of her shows, she's brilliant live. Falling and Mother are amazing songs.

Lyra the strongest there I think, although Love Me Louder also has potential to be a cunty banger.
