I'm happy with the top 20 peak BUT i was hoping this would have some kind of legs, i thought playlists would bite a bit more, or is it still early days for this SINGAL?
 
It's back in the top 40 in the most recent midweeks but needs to be added to bigger playlists. Why it isn't on Hot Hits, I do not know.

Seems to be taking off on Tik Tok faster than Padam did too.

Oh thats good news, why the rise? I see she has cassettes, Padam was helped by various formats and remixes being released strategically wasn't it?
 
Yes as well as a price drop on iTunes....which hasn't happened with this for some reason.
 
I was thinking the other day whether they may do a 'instant grat' single (Vegas High) as a surprise this friday or Monday, perhaps just with a lyric video or something but I think that info may have leaked by now. She'll then have the album promo, straight to vegas and there is enough to promote and market the album right up till christmas, without Kylie having to do much, in the way of the Audience With, adverts etc.
 
Hold On To Now was meant to have been featured (and performed, it seems) in that new Shonda Rhimes series but with the Hollywood strikes, I'm not sure when that is coming out now. No doubt that's part of the reason it wasn't released as a single.
 
It seems really suspect that to get a hit requires an organisation of some sort putting you on a playlist. They may as well call it the "heard it at ASDA" chart. These playlist numbers should be stripped of the final total sure.

Anyway, Tension still hasn't faded its splendour for me.
 
will she stay top 40 by Friday? and what evidence is there of any taking off on tiktok? a young person to advise pls.

But PADAM PADAM laid the groundwork here, so there was a ready audience of hunfluencers ready to jump on whatever she did next, the question is whether it is building at the same speed or falling off.

I need a line graph, STAT.
 
It’s doing fine, I think we are just used to the last single doing so well.

Shes around #40 on Apple and about #115 or something on Amazon, it’s just Spotify not doing great but it’s still doing something on there. Was the #65 seller yesterday overall, which is probably about right outside of CDs/cassettes that are buoying it.

Album release week should see some great gains across the board, so probably a 19-44-73-40 type chart run for its first four weeks? We would have been ecstatic with that if it hadn’t been for Padam Padam :D

I'm confused. Does this mean it's back OUT of the top 40?
 
It’s #34 in the midweeks today, but it’s overall units yesterday were 65th for the day. So it will continue to fall for the rest of the week (save any physicals being shipped) and likely slip out the top 40 by the actual chart.
 
Down to #44.

She was on The One Show this evening but I don't expect that to do anything.
 
#68 in midweeks which is about right. The iTunes boost may give it a bit of ammo to stay top 75 given how low and close sales are down that part of the chart, and it should get a nice rebound next week anyway so all in all it’s doing decently.

Back in at #58 in the midweeks, 75% of which is streaming. Will fall, but should be ok to grab a 7th week top 100 which is still really rather good in 2023 for Kylie.
 
for the single? that's great.

the Chromeo remix is quite FABULOUS and deserves to get some attention. Kylie hasn't had a remix this good in quite a while... I see myself playing it more than the album edit for a while.
 
To be fair, not many albums this year have maintained a presence in the top 100.
 
Earlier in the year I posted the chart runs of the year's #1 albums. On the whole they were shockingly short - I think most had 3 or 4 weeks.

If I can find the post, I may update it.
 
Ed Sheeran is performing relatively worse than Kylie. I think that says it all.
