Yes, a new rule reduced her streaming because it wasn't a new release or something like that, she was actually #1 and was robbed. :evil:

I HATE the charts company these days. What is the point in changing the rules to prevent a song that should be number 1 all of December EVERY YEAR getting to the top spot?

Her best bet is still going to be the chart the week AFTER the Christmas #1 though. But I don't really think it matters.
 
I'm putting 10p on a random YouTuber, 20p on a tribute to the victims of the Piper Alpha disaster by oil riggers choir and the big 50p on a tropical house track with relevance to Xmas whatsoever.
 
Nadine is doing her bit singing this in The Jungle Arms of I’m A Celebrity this evening. :disco:
 
Nadine should be singing Not Tonight Santa, but it's a small sacrifice if this is finally going to be the year Mariah gets her Crispmas wish.
 
This week last year she climbed to #7 in the Hot 100, and it took her another 3 weeks to peak at #3 (7-6-7-3). This means she's doing extremely well this year. :disco:
 
The only issue now is The Weeknd's new #1. I don't know if Mariah will be able to dethrone a new #1, as opposed to one that's been there for a while and already started to wane.
 
Is there any way this song has been the biggest Billboard Hot 100 song of this decade? 3 in a row would surely double her Walkers fee if nothing else.
 
They are surely not dumbing down her score or whatever you call it- this is all massive repromotion this year

In the UK, do you mean? As of last week at least she was still subject to the ACR. Anything older than 3 years (I believe) automatically is.

It's too early in the day for me to go through a pdf of the chart rules scouring the small print, but it all depends on if the label chooses to apply for a reset, doesn't it?

Who knows if they have got it together or not? I'd like to think they might only do it last minute.
