Gave the new Susanna Hoffs a play. She seems more into her novel release than the album release but the album is a solid, pleasant effort but ultimately completely inessential. At least she didn’t go for obvious cover choices.
 
Nowt for me today but it's Bandcamp Friday and few bargains have been snagged digitally.

I had a quick listen this evening. Deep End stood out, and while Only You has been done plenty of times she sounds so completely lovely that it is well worthwhile. You Don’t Own Me feels a bit unnecessary and out of place.

I agree that overall it is nice but not too exciting. The Matthew Sweet duets albums were much better and I wish that another album by The Bangles was on the cards.
