"Dakota" IS the better song (IMO) - unless we are talking about "Biology"
 
I don’t see 2005 as a vintage year, quite shit really.

This thread is making me wonder if I’m undervaluing it.

I feel like 2005 music was just coming out of a slump. 2004 was one of the worst years of music I can remember. Not the worst but not the pop glory days of the beginning and end of the decade.

You are right.

It just felt very much like a singer-songwriter-indie-white-man affair in 2005, although this thread proves there are plenty of classics outside of that.

Although yes, the classics INSIDE of that have also been included. :D

you could make a thread of good music from any year, but 2005 was a low point for the Uk charts
