RANDOM THINGS YOU HATE (1 Viewer)

Based on the way I pronounce Los Angeles, I can't judge anyone for how they say English words

which is the right way anyway, remember your people conquered mine :tongueout:
I think it's just different. For me it's shocking your perfect pronunciation for any English name, which is fantastic, but you would look like a total idiot if you pronounce it like that on television here in Spain. I think it's just a cultural thing, we don't have that strong influence of the US and we just take any word to our territory. But it's not that simple, it depends of the word, but for sure we don't try to force an accent, that sounds too weird here. 🤷‍♂️

It’s the way Americans pronounce places like

Tunisia
Vietnam
Iran
Iraq

that really annoys me.

I don't understand people annoyed by different pronunciations, I love those differences and I think it's a cultural thing of every region/country, the language is alive. A different thing is when people don't write properly (and before you say anything, in their f*cking mother language, bitches).

Is there anyone there that doesn't say L.A.? I mean, some of them surely don't even know what LA stands for.
Yes :D they’re used interchangeably, but I think Los Angeles is extremely well known

And I’m sure I heard Vietnam with a different A sound at the end.

And they way they say Anna like AH-Nah. The A sound is different.

Oh! our pronunciation of Túnez is different, you say it (for me) like TUNES and we say TUNEZ, with a harder sound. True that you pronounce Z as S sometimes, which is a bit confusing but sounds cool.
