Let them send one of their many identikit flacid bangers that ends up 21st in the final. Romania don’t risk winning and the gays get something to dance to. Win-win all round.

This once again shows that the EBU needs to do something about the participation fees, it’s crazy that ESC is in its most successful commercially phase in decades and the show itself is ever shrinking.

It lost a pretty big contributor recently!

A small update on this. Seems like the door isn't firmly closed, which is good. Sounds like there was some kind of breakdown in relations between the broadcaster and the local record label(s) and after the disaster of 2023 they decided it wasn't worth throwing good money after bad if they couldn't get professional artists on board.
