RuPaul's Drag Race

Less is more obviously not in the vocabRUlary

Oh for the days of it being an exciting niche thing which only internet gays knew about :(

It's gone the way of Next Top Model - there were TONS of them in it's hey day - I think around FIFTY or so - some of them were even better than the US one (Australia in particular) - so there's a long way to go...

Please stop comparing RPDR to Next Top Model. I know it's Reality TV (save me that lecture), but we've seen more talent in ONE season of RPDR than all seasons of poxy old "Next Top MODEL"

Yeah, why on earth are we comparing Drag Race to the programme it's based on? Crazy!

I’m actually fine with more Drag Race :D I need some relatively brainless fluff for hangover days, and when there is not Drag Race airing it ends up being Real Housewives. At least watching Drag Race isn’t akin to having a COMPLETE frontal lobotomy.

Also the cast of All Stars 5 and Season 12 (if correct) seem FABULOUS, so bring them on :disco:

I'm a little surprised Nina West was there, but I can understand they must all be clamouring for screen time at this point. Maybe they threw a little #shade at her, here's hoping.

I thought I read just before Christmas that people were anticipating the end of January, for whatever reason. But we usually get a few weeks warning, don't we, so if that is true I imagine there will be an announcement soon.

The current rumour is that we are getting Celebrity Drag Race first and it will be announced imminently, then season 12 THEN All Stars 5 in June/July which seems AGES AWAY.

I feel a little bad for the AS5 queens if this is the correct rollout - they would have shot the season about TWO YEARS prior to it going out on tv :D

Celebrity Drag Race is the one I'm least interested in, so I'm glad if it is first. As we will have had at least a couple of months since the end of DR UK at least I'll be ready for it. If it came at the end of S12 AS5 and then Celebrity in fairly quick succession, I'm sure I'd probably have a bit of fatigue.

I would demand (gimme) another take for the soundbites.

Celebrity I hope features all out gays, I'm really not here for heteros in a glorified makeover challenge (unless they are paired with a Willam, Raven and, du du dum, the return of Charisma and Victoria sponge Delta). Delta's perma shudder face talking to Ru in the work room would be more iconic than holding up a cupcake like a worker in Greggs waiting on a customer rummaging in her bag to take the treat.

It was the same for AS2 or even a bit longer. AS5 only shot last summer.

....what?

From what I've heard, it's likely to be Celebrity first, then S12, then AS5.

I'm actually fine with the constant flush of it all, but the writing in the challenges needs to step it up a few notches, or else let the queens change the lines without being told "oh that's too risque". The less editing on people who don't need editing to create drama the better.

Well I came here to share the hot news on this hopefully unofficial sequel to the Queens of London:

I like the title, Vinegar's delusions of fearce (whilst fanning her face just to stay beathing) and Gothy who may or may not be breathing too.
