San Marino 2025: Gabry Ponte - Tutta L’Italia (1 Viewer)

Apparently they said at the press conference that there will be a separate award for the best song from Una Voce per San Marino, which is apparently what the semis are called whereas the final is the San Marino Song Contest. If true, I guess that already gives away the game that one of these 'big' names is winning :D

Have any other country every been so transparently AT IT :D :disco:

In today's insane news from San Marino, one of the second chance qualifiers last night was someone who didn't perform. I absolutely love the footnote explaining it on Wikipedia: "Ann & Dom were originally announced as 3rd placers of semi-final 4, which qualified them to the second chance round. However, they fled the filming location before performing in their semifinal."

FLED!

So doing NOTHING was proficient enough to place third? Sounds about right.

You’d think the EBU would step in at some point but then considering how little they’ve given a shit about San Marino having their votes bought in the past, COLOUR ME NOT SURPRISED.

The EBU very wisely steers well clear of any national selection stuff, they only judge what's entered to them in the end - can you imagine the endless drama they'd have to endure otherwise :D

I appreciate San Marino for reviving the good old days of Belarussian and Moldovan National Final drama and riggery only on a bigger larger scale :disco:

I still have a begrudging respect for the Miša Molk-run years in Slovenia, where the jury would always coincidentally vote in exactly the right way to keep the televoting winner from winning :D although they never rigged it for anything particularly good!

Let's hope the EBU never intervene, this is VALUABLE ENTERTAINMENT
Considering it isn’t happening for reasons any more nefarious than funding somebody’s Tuscan villa, long make it continue.

It's a shame 2005 (one of the years she wasn't involved) where it was 100% televoting the public swiftly ditched their winner of the first round for something DISASTROUS and FORGETTABLE and the jury got bought back in the following year to rig the votes. :D

I would love to imagine the alternate universe where this had made it to ESC :disco:

I can't believe @Sheena is questioning the spending decisions of the lesbian heiress to a stickers and sandwiches conglomerate :(

I'd be interested to know what Panini spent in order to fund Senhit's Eurovision ambitions.

Achille Lauro said he spent €400k on his participation. San Marino are raking it in.

Oh the scam has been going on for a while :disco:

Luckily they landed on the Una Voce pyramid scheme!

THE SIN seems to be an interval act for the final

:senhit::senhit::senhit:

The hysteria is starting already! I can’t wait for what will no doubt be a very hinged evening with predictable results and a quick pace combined with exemplary production standards :senhit:

I assume they’ll remember to air this unlike that one semi where they forgot

Did this overlap with Melodifestivalen? Even the Portuguese aren’t THAT stupid.

The mother ship getting ready to beam me onboard

San Marino Outlet Experience!

I am not sure I have the stamina for this tonight but we'll see. If I see an elderly man take root at a piano it may break me.
